September 2007 Cadhay House and Gardens located a short distance from Ottery St Mary in East Devon are open every Friday afternoon from May through to September. In addition, during the late Spring and the Summer Bank Holidays they are open on Saturday, Sunday and Monday afternoons.
Guided tours of the House include the fine timber roof, history dating back to the early 15th century, and the Courtyard of Sovereigns, described by Simon Jenkins as one of the “Treasures of Devon”. Visitors are also invited to wander around the gardens and allotments. | |  |  | | | The Tea Room, offering delicious home made cakes, is open at the same time as the House and Gardens
Group bookings are very welcome by prior arrangement, with a reduced admission of £5.50 per person for 20+ visitors.
